This guac is simply delicious. It’s no frills, nothing unnecessary or pretentious. It’s just good guacamole. Whether you’re looking to make a football game day dip or a taco Tuesday accompaniment, this guacamole is heavenly. And it takes just a few minutes to make! Get your tortilla chips out because this guacamole is just begging to be eaten.
Makes: a medium bowl of guacamole (for 2-3 people)
Prep time: 10 minutes
Cook time: 0 minutes
Total time: 10 minutes
The Ingredients
2 ripe avocados, pitted and scooped into a bowl
1 small red onion, minced
1 small ripe tomato, finely diced (or cherry tomatoes, halved)
1 small jalapeño pepper (or large, for the daring ones)
1 lime, juiced
Dash of salt
Optional: ¼ teaspoon smoked paprika for an extra smoky flair!
The Steps
Using a fork, mash two ripe avocados with the back of a fork until almost smooth (leaving a few chunks).
Add red onion, tomato, jalapeño, and a dash of salt. Stir until combined.
Squeeze juice of the lime. Stir again.
Now get those chips out and dip away!
Tip: to save for up to two days, directly lay plastic wrap on top of guacamole in a bowl (so that the plastic wrap is touching the guacamole). Although the guacamole won’t stay completely green, the plastic wrap will keep air from reaching the guacamole for the most part, keeping it fresh for up to two days!
